Using horses to transform lives, imparting hope, and healing

Kailyn

My name is Kailyn I'm 17 and I've known Terri and Hope Ranch Ministries for almost four years now. I was born in Maryland and moved to England when I was 7 years old. It was there where I first realized my love for horses and I took riding lessons for 5 years before moving to Utah. When I first moved here, I picked back up where I had left off in English Style riding and rode for another year at a stable nearby, but for some reason it didn't hold my attention like it used to. I wasn't learning anything. Also around this time, I was attempting to find places outside of my church to strengthen my Christian faith in fellowship. It was then I found a flyer for Hope Ranch. As soon as I visited Terri’s place, I knew that's exactly where I was meant to be. Unlike before, this new style of riding helped me build a relationship with my horse, it was not built on fear and mechanics but rather on trust. As well as this, I was able to have relationships with other people that shared my love for horses and Jesus. Four years later, I now own the horse, Pinestar. I have grown in so many ways!
